Goodbye Google

However, their team's goal to make AI cheaper and lower-latency is currently far too rapid, and the author has doubts about the destination.

They believe AI progress is too fast and cannot move to a different Google project without accelerating AI. The author's skills are rare, and while influencing events from within Google has little effect, they can still have influence outside the company. They plan to continue maintaining Pernosco and rr, investigate how AIs debug code, and work on other potentially lucrative or not projects.

The author urges others to take AI existential risks seriously and aims for an unambiguously pro-human future.
