Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are set to face off in an eagerly anticipated heavyweight bout at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 11. This long-awaited clash between two British champions, who have both amassed numerous world titles, will be broadcast globally on Netflix. The exact start time has yet to be determined, with organizers considering a late start to accommodate audiences in the United States.

The news conference where the fighters will meet the press will take place on September 30 in London. Joshua, 36, has previously expressed his desire to inspire a generation with this fight. Fury, 38, has yet to comment on the announcement. The event is being promoted by Saudi boxing powerbroker Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and UFC chief Dana White.

Alalshikh has described the fight as one of the biggest in boxing history, while White emphasized that the clash between two of the biggest heavyweights of this generation will take place on December 11, with the winner securing a significant place in heavyweight history. The former world champions had already agreed to the bout earlier this year, but the date and venue had not been confirmed until Cardiff emerged as a viable alternative to Wembley Stadium in London and New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The Principality Stadium has previously hosted late-night boxing events, including Joe Calzaghe’s fight with Mikkel Kessler in 2007.
