From Gaza to Sudan to Nepal, more than 500 million children are in desperate need of education

The UAE delegation was involved in numerous high-level meetings during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly's opening day. Dr. Anwar Gargash, the UAE's Diplomatic Adviser to the President, spoke with business leaders, diplomats, journalists, and government officials at the Asia Society. Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, attended the 'Multiply Possibility High-Level Event: A New Era for Education Financing' for the Global Partnership for Education, emphasizing the UAE's commitment to education funding.

Al Hashimy also attended a High-Level Briefing for the Board of Peace, reiterating UAE support for Gaza's Comprehensive Peace Plan. UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, met with U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright to discuss energy cooperation. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, participated in a Roundtable on development cooperation.

Healthcare ministers attended various side events focusing on pandemic preparedness and vaccine equity. Sheikh Abdullah, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, attended the Sixth Summit of the International Crimea Platform, reaffirming the UN's role in international peace and security. Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, discussed Sudan's situation at a meeting convened by the African Union and the U.S. Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan and Maqsoud Kruse, Envoy for Countering Extremism & Terrorism, participated in a Call to Action for Palestinian Children.

Khalifa Al Marar, Minister of State, represented the GCC at the Ministerial Meeting with ASEAN, reaffirming the strategic partnership. Saeed Al Hajeri, Minister of State, attended the 3G's 19th Ministerial Meeting, discussing AI capabilities with the U.S.
