Friend testifies cop joked 'help me hide the body?'

Nine months prior to the alleged murders of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, Beau Lamarre-Condon, a police officer, allegedly asked a close friend if she would assist in concealing a body, according to testimony from Georgia Cook. The NSW Supreme Court trial commenced on Friday, with Lamarre-Condon pleading not guilty to the murders.

Cook, who had known Lamarre-Condon for over two years, recounted a conversation she and the officer had over Thai food in Kirribilli in May 2023. Lamarre-Condon allegedly jokingly asked Cook, "What would you do if I told you I killed somebody? Would you help me hide the body?" Cook replied that she would not help, to which Lamarre-Condon allegedly said, "Don't worry, I didn't do that - but I did do something crazy."

The officer then confessed to breaking into Baird's Sydney home in February 2024, stealing a Polaroid camera gifted by Lamarre-Condon, and consuming an Easter egg.
