EiE Nigeria, ‘Story Story 2.0’ Partner, to Spark Leadership Conversations on Independence Day

Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria has joined forces with Story Story 2.0: A Tale of Nigerian Politicians, a theatre, comedy and music production, to engage audiences in discussions about leadership, citizenship and Nigeria's future. This collaboration coincides with Nigeria's 66th Independence Day celebration. The production, to be held on October 1, 2026, at Ikoyi Plaza, Lagos, will feature humor, satire, storytelling, and music to explore Nigerian politics, campaign promises, social issues, and the lives of common Nigerians.

Inspired by the daily experiences of Nigerians, the show's creator and producer, Timmy Sinclair, aims to stimulate thoughtful reflection on the nation's present, aspirations, and potential.

By partnering with EiE, the production will provide a unique civic engagement platform, moving conversations about citizenship and leadership away from traditional political and civic settings and into the realms of culture, entertainment, and storytelling. This initiative seeks to engage young Nigerians who engage with politics and public issues primarily through popular culture and digital platforms, especially as the 2027 general elections loom.

The organisers note that focusing on leadership, accountability, and the nation's future will become crucial as the election approaches.

Ufuoma Nnamdi-Udeh, Executive Director of EiE Nigeria, emphasized that this partnership aligns with the organization's commitment to using popular culture as a means of civic engagement. She stated that civic participation extends beyond election day, involving the questions citizens ask, the standards they set for leadership, and the conversations they have about their ideal country.

Through the partnership, EiE aims to educate, engage, and mobilize young Nigerians by leveraging entertainment and popular culture as tools for promoting an active citizenry. The production is non-partisan and intends to reflect Nigeria as seen through the eyes of its citizens, addressing political realities, leadership issues, hopes, frustrations, and aspirations.
