Ed Sheeran’s concerts cancelled due to storm warnings

Ed Sheeran's scheduled stadium shows in Massachusetts were abruptly canceled due to severe weather warnings in Boston and New England. The tour promoter, Messina Touring, cited safety concerns for fans, staff, and all involved as the primary reason for the cancellation. The affected dates were September 25 and 26. Refunds were promptly granted to ticket holders who purchased through Ticketmaster.

Earlier, Ed Sheeran faced controversy over his support for Palestinians, which led to his opening act, Macklemore, being removed from the US Loop Tour. The singer stated that the decision to cancel the shows was made by the tour promoter following pressure from venues, and denied any personal involvement in removing Macklemore. Four other supporting acts subsequently withdrew in solidarity with Macklemore.

Despite initially claiming his performances were non-political, Sheeran later condemned the Gaza situation as "catastrophic and unjustifiable."
