Detroit Lions Reveal Uniform Combo for Matchup vs. Jets

The Detroit Lions are reintroducing a classic uniform combo for their upcoming home game against the New York Jets. The team will be wearing Honolulu Blue jerseys paired with silver pants at Ford Field. This combination, reminiscent of the Lions' traditional home look, has been a long-standing desire of many fans. After opening the season in all blue and playing in all white in Buffalo, the Lions are returning to their iconic blue and silver color scheme at home.

While Detroit's current uniform set offers various pant options that can be paired with the primary blue jersey, the silver pants add an old-school feel to the ensemble. The Lions had previously worn blue jerseys and blue pants in their Week 1 victory over New Orleans, before switching to white jerseys and white pants for their Week 2 loss to Buffalo.

Now, the silver pants are back in the rotation for a meaningful Week 3 matchup. The Lions will host the Jets, who are also 1-1 following their 41-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The game is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Although the uniform combination won't solve the Lions' issues from Buffalo, the sight of blue jerseys and silver pants at Ford Field will undoubtedly be a positive start to their early-season rivalry.
