CrowdStrike probe closed by US prosecutors without charges

US prosecutors concluded an investigation into CrowdStrike Holdings Inc.'s distributor deals without bringing any charges, according to Bloomberg. The federal prosecutors and regulators looked into the company's handling of transactions since early 2025, focusing on the executives' awareness of these deals. CrowdStrike revealed in its regulatory filings that both the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice had asked for information about specific transactions.

In July, DOJ attorneys informed people involved in the probe that their review was complete, and they would not pursue criminal or civil action. The individuals discussing the matter requested anonymity as they were not permitted to speak publicly about it. The Manhattan US attorney's office did not offer explanations to the involved parties regarding their findings or the reasons for closing the investigation.

The SEC's investigation status remains unclear. CrowdStrike, based in Austin, Texas, stated in an August regulatory filing that it was cooperating with the DOJ and SEC regarding their requests for information concerning its accounting for transactions with certain customers.
