Bombers still hold playoff fate in their own hands

One key question is whether starting quarterback Zach Collaros will return this season. The 38-year-old was placed on the six-game injured list with a head injury, though he could be activated before the six-game period ends. Receiver Tim White emphasized that Collaros' return is not up for debate, stating that they do not want him to miss any games.

Receiver Dru Brown is set to take over as the starting quarterback for the third consecutive game. He put up impressive numbers in his first start this season, completing 80% of his passes for 339 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. However, he has struggled in his three starts since then. Given Collaros' injury history, a strong performance this week could solidify his status as a full-time starter or even a long-term option elsewhere.

Brown, who is also in his final year of his contract, reiterated that he is focused on helping the team win in the present. He has been successful against the Argonauts, boasting a 3-1 record in their matchups. The Blue Bombers possess a significant advantage on the ground with their star running back, Brady Oliveira, who has been considered one of the best in the CFL.
