The AMIs are designed to closely resemble Windows images, enabling users to connect to the FreeBSD instance using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), just like they would with a Windows VM.
Percival pre-installed Chromium web browser and LibreOffice productivity suite on the AMIs, describing them as a "useful starting point." He provided detailed installation instructions, suggesting the use of an m7i-flex.large instance with 2 to 64 virtual CPUs and 8 to 256 gigabytes of memory. Percival also expressed his desire to have Amazon recognize these AMIs as RDP-enabled, as the AWS Console currently does not support this functionality.
