YNOS secures ₹2.12-crore investment from Gnan Circle Ventures

YNOS, a technology platform providing information and fundraising analytics for India's startup ecosystem, has secured a ₹2.12 crore investment from Gnan Circle Ventures, a prominent venture capital fund. This infusion of capital will empower YNOS to enhance its technological prowess and expand its reach.

The YNOS platform boasts an extensive database encompassing startups, founders, incubators, angel investors, venture capital firms, corporations, government agencies, and banks. This wealth of data equips users with invaluable tools to gauge startup valuations, pinpoint suitable investors, analyze market competition, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the startup landscape.

Thillai Rajan A., Professor at IIT Madras, Head of CREST, and founder of YNOS, expressed his gratitude for the investment. He stated that YNOS was founded on the belief that entrepreneurs flourish when they have access to trustworthy, research-driven intelligence instead of disjointed information. The recent investment will enable YNOS to reach a broader audience of entrepreneurs and deepen its impact within the ecosystem.

As of September 2026, YNOS has cataloged 342,388 startups, 592,999 founders, 14,667 angel investors, 6,310 venture capitalists, 1,458 incubators, 137 government schemes, and 1,096 banks and financial institutions. Over 875 startups have utilized YNOS to facilitate their fundraising efforts, resulting in a combined capital infusion of approximately ₹4,000 crore.

YNOS originated from the research insights of the Centre for Research on Start-ups and Risk Financing (CREST), a distinguished research center at IIT Madras. The platform is housed at the IITM Research Park, which serves as its operational base.
