Winnipeg Blue Bombers turn to Brown at QB as they welcome Argonauts for crucial game

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have turned to backup quarterback Dru Brown as they face the Toronto Argonauts in a crucial game. Brown, who replaced Zach Collaros who suffered a head injury, is set to start in the home game against the Argonauts. This will be Brown's fifth start since being acquired in a trade with the Ottawa Redblacks in late June.

Team veteran left tackle Stanley Bryant believes there won't be a significant difference between Brown and Collaros. Collaros missed four consecutive games due to a neck injury. Brown, who went 2-2 in relief games, is prepared to back up Bryce Perkins. Canadian Taylor Elgersma is third on the depth chart. Blue Bombers running back Brady Oliveira is excited for Brown in the huddle, stating that Brown's preparation usually translates to game day.

Toronto has won three straight games and their defense leads the CFL with 33 sacks. Winnipeg is currently tied for last in the West Division after giving up 32 sacks. Toronto clinched a home playoff berth with a 24-19 victory over Edmonton Elks.
