UAE weather forecast: Temperatures to hit 45°C as fog, mist persist through Monday

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in the UAE has issued a forecast predicting temperatures to reach up to 45°C in various parts of the country on Thursday. This heat will continue to rise on Friday, with the possibility of additional fog and mist lasting through Monday. According to the NCM, Thursday will generally be fair with occasional cloud cover, turning humid overnight and into Friday morning in certain coastal and internal regions where fog or mist may develop.

In internal areas, temperatures are expected to reach between 42°C and 45°C, while along the coast and islands, they will hover between 37°C and 42°C. Mountainous regions will record highs ranging from 29°C to 35°C. Relative humidity could surge to 90% in coastal and internal areas. Winds are forecast to be light to moderate, reaching up to 35 km/h in internal and mountainous zones.

The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will remain relatively calm. On Friday, temperatures are predicted to increase slightly, with generally fair conditions and intermittent cloudiness. Overnight and into Saturday morning, humidity levels are expected to rise, potentially bringing back fog or mist to some coastal and internal areas. Saturday is anticipated to be mainly fair to partly cloudy, with another chance of fog or mist forming over some coastal and internal areas overnight and early on Sunday.

Winds could reach up to 30 km/h. A shift in weather patterns is anticipated on Sunday and Monday, when clouds will gather over eastern areas and could intensify into convective activity during the afternoon. Humid conditions overnight are expected to persist, keeping the risk of fog or mist over certain coastal and internal locales during the early morning.

Sea conditions are forecast to remain mild in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea throughout this period.
