After decades of anticipation, the heavyweight boxing world has finally witnessed a monumental clash between British legends Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. The much-anticipated event, set to take place on December 11 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, has been announced by Saudi Arabian promoter Turki Alalshikh. Alalshikh expressed his excitement, stating that 15 years had passed without being able to make this fight a reality.

The two British heavyweights, who dominated the division throughout the past decade, had never faced each other, as both were defeated by Oleksandr Usyk, who ultimately became the undisputed heavyweight champion. Fury made a triumphant return to the ring earlier this year, defeating Makhmudov and Wach, while Joshua's recent bouts were against YouTuber Jake Paul and Kristian Prenga.

Despite their ages, the fight promises to be globally significant and will be streamed on Netflix. Both fighters' promoters, Matchroom's Eddie Hearn, had insisted on the event taking place in the United Kingdom, emphasizing that they did not seek financial gain but rather wanted the fight to occur in the UK.
