Sybiha, OSCE Chair-In-Office Discuss Russia’s War And Support For Ukraine

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with OSCE Chair-In-Office Ignazio Cassis to address Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine, as well as strategies for achieving a comprehensive and enduring peace, and exploring opportunities for further collaboration between Kyiv and the Organization. In his briefing, Sybiha provided Cassis with an update on the battlefield conditions and Ukraine's persistent efforts to forge a comprehensive and lasting peace.

The two discussed potential avenues to bolster Ukraine's cooperation with the OSCE and ensure that Russia's aggression against Ukraine remains a top priority for the organization. Sybiha underscored the significance of the OSCE's ongoing commitment to documenting Russia's atrocities and ensuring accountability for those responsible, expressing gratitude to Switzerland for its efforts during its chairmanship to maintain these priorities.

During their discussions, the officials also covered Ukraine's preparations for the approaching winter, Switzerland's assistance to Ukraine's energy sector, and the evolving situation in the Black Sea amidst ongoing Russian attacks on ports, energy facilities, and other vital infrastructure. Sybiha expressed appreciation to Switzerland for its unwavering support for Ukraine and its tangible contributions to fortifying the nation's resilience.
