Samsung open-ear Galaxy Buds On images show what they look like when worn

Samsung's Galaxy Buds On, featuring an open-ear design, have recently come into focus through new images, hinting at their potential official release. Over the past few months, these earbuds have been the subject of multiple leaks, with rumors suggesting they would be named "Galaxy Buds Able" rather than "Galaxy Buds On." Initially, Samsung's Wearable app hinted at the name "Galaxy Buds On" in early July, although the internal moniker "Galaxy Buds Able" was first gleaned.

The new images, shared by Android Headlines, provide a clearer view of the Galaxy Buds On, potentially from Samsung's marketing team. Unlike the previously seen renders and icon images, these images showcase the earbuds when worn, clipped around the ears. This differs from the open-ear design, which rests on the ear. While the new photos suggest the form factor may be popular in certain regions, their comfort is uncertain.

The earbud images do not reveal much detail about the driver and microphone ports, and sound quality remains unknown. Previous leaks hinted at features such as an "Auto Volume" setting, head-nod and shake gesture control, and automatic transcription of voice memos to text. Samsung Galaxy users can also expect these earbuds to come with the Tab S12 Ultra.

The timing of the Galaxy Buds On's release remains uncertain, as other devices from Samsung are also expected to launch soon.
