Public cautioned of high-risk sex offender who moved to Saskatoon: police

Saskatoon police are warning the public about a high-risk sex offender named William Lee Perswain, who has recently moved to the city from Winnipeg. The 42-year-old has a lengthy criminal history involving sexual offenses, including break and enter with sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, and indecent acts. Perswain is described as being five feet eleven inches tall and weighing around 155 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes, and multiple tattoos.

A public notification issued by the Winnipeg Police Service states that Perswain's tattoos include a cross on his neck, the word "Kim" on his chest, and a feather tattoo on his left arm. According to the Saskatoon Police Service, Perswain is prohibited from visiting places where people under 16 congregate, such as public parks, community centers, and schoolyards.

He is also banned from contacting anyone under 16 years old, as well as purchasing, using, or possessing alcohol or other intoxicants. The Saskatoon Police Service emphasizes that vigilante actions against Perswain will not be tolerated, urging the public to refrain from taking matters into their own hands.
