PTI condemns raids on residences of two ministers

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly denounced the recent raids on the homes of two provincial ministers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the subsequent arrest of an MNA from the region. On Tuesday night, the residence of Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Minister Syed Fakhar Jehan was targeted. Additionally, the house of Irrigation Minister Riaz Khan in Buner was subjected to a heavy police raid.

Furthermore, the home of Mohammad Zubair Khan Wazir, an MNA from NA-42 South Waziristan Upper and South Waziristan Lower, was surrounded for several hours with his family members held hostage. Another police operation led to Wazir's arrest after an exchange of gunfire. These actions against elected officials and their families are a severe blow to democratic principles, parliamentary immunity, and the rule of law.

PTI demands the identification and prosecution of all law enforcement personnel involved in these illegal raids. The provincial government must conduct a transparent and unbiased investigation to uncover the truth, hold accountable those responsible for the raids, and ensure the safety and well-being of the affected families. PTI urges relevant institutions to abide by the Constitution and the law, and to avoid resorting to force and intimidation against elected representatives and their families.
