PN digantung: Kena profesional, jangan berdendam, PAS diberitahu

Former Umno leader Puad Zarkashi has advised PAS to remain professional and avoid resentment following the Professional Party's (PN) suspension by the Malaysian Registration of Societies (JPPM). A senior PAS figure warned that the coalition parties might end up under PAS's governance someday, hinting at a desire for revenge should they successfully take control of the federal government.

It appears PAS had a fondness for supporting Bersatu before assuming power. When Bersatu raised a complaint to JPPM, PAS was expected to act with professionalism, with PN not being prohibited but given a 30-day window to provide explanations. The former Rengit Adun added that Umno had almost been "buried" in the past, particularly after losing power in 2018, but never harbored resentment towards its political allies.

Puad also referenced the success of the Wawasan party registration led by former Umno leader Hamzah Zainudin and Bersatu's Rafizi Ramli. Earlier today, JPPM suspended PN, one day after granting the coalition 30 days to explain the complaint from Bersatu. This development occurred as relations between Bersatu and PAS have grown increasingly tense since PAS took over the PN presidency in February, and ended their political cooperation in June.

PN Secretary-General Takiyuddin Hassan speculated about the potential political pressure behind the suspension, while their ally Wawasan questioned the timing given that the next PRN (People's Representation Council) election would be held soon. PAS Public Affairs Director Ahmad Fadhli Shaari claimed the suspension was a politically motivated move to weaken PN, but reminded everyone that they too would eventually be under PAS's rule.
