Plateau: MACBAN condemns killing of Operation Rainbow commander, warns against tagging Fulani as criminals

A member of Operation Rainbow, a security unit based in Plateau State, has vowed to personally seek retribution for the death of his deputy commander, CSP David Babale. The officer lost his life in an ambush on Tuesday while en route to Barkin Ladi Local Government Area following intelligence of an imminent attack at a mass burial.

Expressing his condolences in a Facebook post, the officer stated that Babale's death would not be in vain, as he would personally pursue the killers and ensure justice was served. Describing Babale as a father figure, leader, and protector, the officer emphasized that he would not let the attack go unnoticed, even if attempts were made to cover it up.

The officer praised Babale's leadership, courage, and dedication to the Plateau State Police Force. In another message, the officer expressed his determination to avenge Babale's death, stating that the killings had reached his doorstep and he had no choice but to respond with equal force. He acknowledged that it was not their duty to kill the bandits and terrorists, but rather to hand them over to God for judgment.
