PAL to resume Manila-Dubai flights after months-long Middle East suspension

Philippine Airlines (PAL) plans to resume nonstop flights between Manila and Dubai on October 2, following a months-long suspension due to the Middle East security crisis. The Manila-Dubai service will initially operate four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, departing Manila at 12:50pm and arriving in Dubai at 6pm, with the return flight departing Dubai at 7:45pm and arriving in Manila at 9:10am the next day.

PAL described recent developments in the region as the key reason for the resumption. Dubai is a major connecting hub for travel to other Middle East, African, and European destinations. The resumption of the Manila-Dubai route is significant for Filipinos traveling between the Philippines and the UAE, including overseas Filipino workers, families, business travelers, tourists, and cargo customers.

PAL began the return cautiously with four weekly flights and plans to increase frequencies to daily service as operating conditions allow. The airline has previously restored Manila-Doha services and had already resumed Manila-Riyadh flights in April.
