The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) in Migori has been dealt a significant setback as the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) has declared the county coordinating committee elections null and void, ordering a fresh vote. This decision, issued on Thursday, September 324, 2026, marks a major victory for party members who contended that the election process was marred by irregularities and did not adhere to ODM's established rules.

The controversy emerged from the Awendo election, where dissatisfied party officials argued that the voting was neither transparent nor inclusive.
