Nothing will happen to me – Baffour Awuah invokes Psalm 91 amid EOCO row

Manhyia South MP Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah has vowed to face court despite the Economic and Organised Crime Office's (EOCO) attempts to detain him. The lawyer dismissed any intimidation efforts and challenged EOCO officials to make an arrest if they believed they had authority to do so. As a trained lawyer, Awuah emphasized the importance of being bold and courageous, especially when representing vulnerable clients who may choose not to hire legal representation.

He stated he was prepared to attend court when his client's case resumes, urging Raymond to arrest him, stating he was ready for the court proceedings. Awuah also defended those who assisted him in avoiding what he described as an attempted kidnapping, asserting that aiding in such an escape is not unlawful. He confidently predicted that EOCO would not prevail in court, stating that while they might have state power to arrest his accusers, they would not succeed in any court of competent jurisdiction.

The MP remained steadfast in his pursuit to secure the release of his client, Salomey Bafoo, promising to remain undeterred until his client's release. When questioned about his emotional state amidst the dispute, Awuah expressed good spirits and invoked Psalm 91, drawing strength from his faith and proclaiming that nothing would happen to him while under the protection of the Almighty.
