Navi Mumbai Traffic Diversions On Anant Chaturdashi: Kharghar, Kalamboli Roads Closed For Immersion Processions

Navi Mumbai residents will experience traffic disruptions on September 25 as authorities close roads and implement diversions for Ganesh idol immersion processions on Anant Chaturdashi. The Navi Mumbai Traffic Police announced the restrictions, which will be in effect from 10 am until the processions conclude. All vehicles will be prohibited, with exceptions for designated immersion vehicles, police vehicles, government vehicles, and essential service providers.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Dr Rahul Khade emphasized the need for smooth processions and urged residents to avoid restricted areas and utilize alternative routes.

In Kharghar, the road between Kharghar Gaon Metro Station and the area near Kamdhenu Complex will be closed in both directions. Travelers from D-Mart Signal to DAV International School can use Sector 18 and Sector 19 as detours, while those coming from the opposite direction can take right turns at Vastuvihar Chowk, Balaji Sweets, Shilp Chowk, and D-Mart. For those traveling from Kharghar Gaon Metro Station towards Kamdhenu Complex, Daily Bazaar Chowk provides an exit option.

In Kalamboli, two immersion routes have been designated. The first route leads to Mhasar (Mhasoba) Lake in Sector 12, passing through Karawali Chowk, KL-2 Naka, SBI Chowk, Carmel Chowk, Sunshine Society, Bal Society, and Bhaveshwar Aqua Society. The second route heads towards the same lake via Ketli Chowk, Police Headquarters Chowk, Ambika Heritage, Hansdhwani Gruhsankul, and concludes at the lake.

Entry to Ganesh immersion vehicles and trolleys from Kamothe Bridge via Sunshine Society in Sector 6 and from Hansdhwani Gruhsankul in Sector 15 will be limited to essential service vehicles. Residents are advised to plan their travel accordingly and adhere to the traffic diversions during the immersion processions.
