Nashik: Girish Mahajan Stops Convoy, Helps Rescue Accident Victims Near Pimpalgaon

Nashik: Guard Minister and Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan, who was touring Nashik district to inspect the drought-like conditions, halted his convoy after a two-truck collision near Pimpalgaon. One truck reportedly lost control due to a burst tyre, colliding with another vehicle. Upon noticing several people trapped inside the affected truck, Mahajan promptly stopped his convoy and rushed to the scene.

The driver, cleaner, and other occupants were trapped. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Mahajan joined the rescue efforts, scaling the truck to assist in pulling out the injured. His colleagues and local residents also contributed to the rescue operation. After the injured were safely extracted, Mahajan swiftly arranged for their transfer to the hospital for immediate medical attention, utilizing a government vehicle.

Administrative officers and staff present at the spot were directed to ensure that all necessary assistance was provided to the victims. Notably, MLC Gokul Gite, District Collector Ayush Prasad, and other officials were present at the site to support the rescue efforts. Meanwhile, the scheduled performance of the Godavari Aarti by 6,000 tribal people, coinciding with President Murmu's tour, had to be delayed due to the rescue operation.
