Mathebula family finds closure as Vutomi Mathebula is laid to rest

The family of Vutomi Mathebula, a 28-year-old woman killed in Kempton Park, has finally found closure with her burial. Mathebula went missing in March, and her body was discovered in a veld recently. Only this month did her family uncover her remains at a mortuary. Vutomi was laid to rest on Thursday at Homu 14-A village near Giyani, Limpopo.

Mourners, including family members and friends, gathered at her homestead in Homu 14-A village to bid her farewell. Family spokesperson Tiyiselani Maringa stated that the burial brought comfort as they finally knew her whereabouts. "We now know where our daughter is, unlike when she was missing and we did not know where to find her. This will bring closure to the Mathebula family as a whole," she said.

Vutomi's friend, Katekani Manyike, described her as more than just a daughter, adding that she brought joy to her friends and left a painful void in their lives. Manyike expressed deep sorrow over her passing but acknowledged that they cannot change what happened. She emphasized that Vutomi was a joyful person who never held grudges and was deeply loved by everyone.
