I’ve never come across a woman that strong – Manhyia South MP recounts botched EOCO arrest

Manhyia South MP, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, recounted a tense encounter with a woman who attempted to take him to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) following a court proceeding on Wednesday. Addressing the media, Awuah said the woman approached him and firmly held his wrist, stating he had never encountered a woman as strong before.

The grip was so tight that he had to wriggle himself free. Awuah offered to drive the woman to EOCO, but she refused, insisting on arresting him instead. She couldn't produce an identification card, leading Awuah to suspect the incident could be part of a kidnapping, possibly state-sponsored. He insisted he was prepared to go to EOCO if the proper procedure was followed.

Awuah rejected claims of fleeing to Parliament to evade arrest, calling it an unlawful attempt at abduction by those who didn't want to cooperate with the law.
