Invest Qatar, Aurion Capital and LG NOVA engage to advance technology investments

Doha, Qatar - Invest Qatar, the Investment Promotion Agency of Qatar, has partnered with Aurion Capital, a global investment firm, and LG NOVA, a North America innovation center for LG Electronics, to promote technology investments and entrepreneurial ventures, according to a statement released during the Qatar Economic Forum. This collaboration, outlined in a new Memorandum of Understanding, will explore joint opportunities in high-growth sectors like AI, digital health, FinTech, and digital infrastructure.

A new regional hub within Qatar Science & Technology Park will act as a central platform to advance LG NOVA-affiliated technologies and ventures, facilitating their scale-up across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al-Thani, CEO of Invest Qatar, highlighted that Qatar's strong R&D ecosystem, talented workforce, and favorable regulatory environment make it an ideal location for testing and commercializing advanced technologies. Aurion Capital's Ali Diallo emphasized their belief in the power of cross-border connections to drive innovation, stating that Qatar's strategic location and infrastructure present an excellent gateway to the MENA region and a pathway for sustainable expansion.

LG Electronics' Sokwoo Rhee, the EVP of Corporate Innovation and Head of LG NOVA, stressed the company's role in leveraging AI to unlock new business opportunities. The partnership aims to foster innovation-led growth and create enduring economic value by aligning global markets and ecosystems.
