InfoQ Launches High-Performing Teams Certification Program

InfoQ has opened enrollment for its inaugural cohort of the InfoQ Certified High-Performing Teams Program, a five-week interactive online course led by InfoQ Java Editor and InfoQ Podcast co-host Olimpiu Pop. The program runs from November 17 to December 17, 2026, with sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM CET. Participants will pay $1,470 to take part in this intensive program.

The InfoQ Certified High-Performing Teams Program delves into the intricate relationships between engineering team structure, delivery flow, ownership, AI-enabled work, and metrics. Over the course of five weeks, participants will craft a target operating model for an engineering team, exploring how team-design decisions vary across different systems, organizations, and constraints.

Each week's curriculum begins with selected QCon talks and technical resources, followed by a hands-on exercise applying the concepts to a current team, delivery, or operating-model decision.

Olimpiu Pop, with over 20 years of experience in software architecture, engineering management, and technology leadership, facilitates the program. He will guide participants through four hours of live work each week, split into two sessions, and encourages participants to return with insights on what changed, what remained consistent, and what necessitated adaptation.

Unlike many similar programs, InfoQ's certification is awarded based on consistent attendance, active participation in live sessions, and successful completion of the group capstone project. Participants can continue discussions through a private Slack channel and access all session materials through a shared Google Drive folder.
