How KU women’s basketball has navigated NCAA eligibility developments

The coach discussed Thursday, September 24, how they evaluated returning players from last season and investigated those involved in court cases, but ultimately decided their roster continuity was uncertain.

The team is practicing again and Schneider feels positive about their health; however, sophomore guard Anna Gooden missed practice due to a minor issue. Forward Jaliya Davis, who was named Big 12 Conference's freshman of the year, is back on the roster and is making strides defensively. KU's non-conference schedule looks promising, as many of their opponents went to the NCAA Tournament last season, which could contribute to their postseason consideration.
