Ghanaian lawmaker collapses while delivering speech

Francis-Xavier Sosu, a Member of Parliament representing Madina in Ghana's Parliament, experienced a sudden collapse while addressing an audience at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration on Thursday. The incident occurred as Sosu was sharing his personal experiences, insights on leadership, and dedication to public service. As he spoke, Citi Newsroom reported, Sosu appeared to lose consciousness on stage, marking the beginning of a concerning event that quickly drew the attention of those present.

Immediately following the collapse, people in attendance sprang into action, rushing to support Sosu and help him regain his footing. Footage from the event captured two individuals providing assistance to the lawmaker after he had fallen, as reported by ModernGhana. Despite briefly regaining some level of consciousness, Sosu was once again seen slumping shortly after, indicating the severity of the situation.

A few moments later, Sosu was carefully removed from the stage and taken away for medical evaluation.
