Ema Raises $77 Mn To Scale Its Universal AI Employee Platform Globally

Agentic AI startup Ema has secured $77 million in Series B funding to expand its universal AI employee platform globally. Led by Bengaluru-based VC firm Creaegis, existing investors Accel, S32, and Prosus participated in the round. This brings Ema's total funding to about $140 million. The startup claims its valuation has quadrupled since its $50 million Series A round in 2025, though it did not disclose the latest valuation.

Ema, based in San Francisco, plans to use the new capital to expand its go-to-market strategy and enter new markets like Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Founded in 2023 by former Coinbase CPO Surojit Chatterjee and former Okta executive Souvik Sen, Ema's 'universal AI employees' are designed to plan and execute enterprise workflows.

The company has offices in Bengaluru, London, and Vancouver and primarily serves US and European enterprise customers, automating functions like HR, IT, and finance. Ema's AI Employees can complete tasks across existing enterprise software, verify their own work, and route sensitive decisions to human employees for approval.
