Durabook launches a workstation laptop with three real screens - Z14I-DX3 is a rugged mobile device featuring a trio of 14-inch full HD displays with an optional Nvidia RTX 5000 Ada GPU for command posts and drone teams

Durabook Z14I-DX3, a rugged workstation laptop, debuts with three 14-inch full HD touchscreens. Weighing in at 9.8 kg and 137.5 mm thick, this device is likely suited for vehicles and fixed positions rather than field use. Its primary target audience includes command posts and drone teams. The Z14I-DX3 combines a standard rugged clamshell with two extra full HD touch panels on either side of the main display.

When folded, the side panels cover the main screen for transportation; when opened, the three 14-inch screens create a spacious 48:9 workspace. Designed for military clients, this laptop provides a mobile command center for various tasks such as drone control, telemetry, mission maps, and live video display. Each of the three panels is a 1,200-nit DynaVue sunlight-readable touchscreen, featuring finger, water, glove, and stylus modes, with the ability to sync brightness across all panels or adjust per panel.

Powered by a single AC adapter, it can be configured with an Nvidia RTX ADA 5000 GPU, which supports up to 682 TOPS of AI performance for offline image recognition and video analysis. The laptop also offers a variety of I/O options, including Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, two serial ports, VGA, ExpressCard 54, a 41-pin pogo docking connector, dual gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, a smart card reader, dual SIM with eSIM, and GPS, 4G, and 5G connectivity.

Durabook's rugged design includes MIL-STD-810H testing for shock, vibration, altitude, freeze/thaw, high and low temperature, temperature shock, humidity, explosive atmosphere, and solar radiation, along with MIL-STD-461G for electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility. Operating in temperatures ranging from -29°C to 63°C, the Z14I-DX3's weight class makes it unsuitable for portable use, with a 9.8 kg weight and 137.5 mm thickness when closed, not including an adapter or carrying case.
