Dr Kwabena Bempah Tandoh engages Mim market traders as Parliamentary campaign gathers momentum

Former Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Dr Kwabena Bempah Tandoh, has ramped up his campaign efforts in the Asunafo North Constituency. On Monday, September 14, 2026, Dr Tandoh paid a visit to traders at the Mim Market, where he engaged with them, toured their stalls and shops, and gifted aprons to several of them. The market queen mother and the traders warmly welcomed him during the visit.

Dr Tandoh, who is seeking the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary nomination in Asunafo North, sees this engagement as part of his constituency outreach. His campaign has been centered on interacting with residents, listening to their concerns, and outlining his vision for the area. During the visit, he emphasized that these interactions allow him to hear directly from traders and discuss his plans for "sustainable growth, community development, and shared prosperity" in Asunafo North.

Recognizing market traders as the "heartbeat of the local economy," Dr Tandoh stressed the importance of supporting local businesses and creating an environment that allows traders to expand their economic activities. He also called for unity, dialogue, and collective action to advance development in the constituency.

Dr Tandoh plans to continue engaging communities and listening to residents as he seeks support ahead of the NPP parliamentary primary. The Mim Market visit is a part of his ongoing grassroots activities across Asunafo North, where he aims to build support for his bid to represent the constituency in Parliament. Mim is one of the major towns in the Asunafo North Municipality, located in the Ahafo Region, with Goaso serving as the municipal capital.
