'Don't put pressure on us' over Israel games - Ogbene

Republic of Ireland winger Chiedozie Ogbene has asked the public not to pressure the team over the upcoming Nations League games against Israel. The matches are scheduled in Debrecen, Hungary on Sunday and Backa Topola, Serbia on 4 October. The growing calls for a boycott have been fueled by the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Ogbene, speaking after Ireland's 1-0 loss to Kosovo, emphasized the difficult nature of the situation and hoped people wouldn't put pressure on the players to make decisions about boycotting the games to Israel.

He stated that the team will discuss the matter and decide what to do as a group. Ogbene also acknowledged that the team's focus was on the Kosovo match and that the loss was not solely due to the Israel game.
