Dombivli: Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde has canceled this year's Rasrang Dandiya Utsav 2026 in Dombivli due to farmers' struggles in various parts of Maharashtra. The cancellation comes amid crop losses and financial hardships among farmers in Maharashtra due to erratic rainfall. More mentioned the potential support from Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's visits to Akola and Buldhana, where he engaged with farmers to gauge the situation. The Shiv Sena has also stated that financial aid will be provided to affected families for essential needs, such as education and family obligations.

Shinde affirmed that the Rasrang celebration could resume in future years, with the immediate focus being on supporting farmers facing challenges.
