CCD notes continued disinformation campaign aimed at discrediting Ukrainians in Poland

The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) has reported that a disinformation campaign is ongoing, targeting Ukrainians living in Poland and aiming to spark interethnic tensions. This campaign, as documented by the CCD through various publications, is heavily influenced by Russian propaganda and involves the dissemination of misleading articles about Ukrainians in Poland.

The CCD's statement on Telegram on Thursday evening detailed several specific allegations being made against Ukrainians. These include claims of Ukrainians committing heinous crimes against Poles, establishing extensive criminal drug networks, and participating in activities that weaken Poland. Furthermore, the CCD has noted the circulation of claims about a Ukrainian fifth column within Poland, allegedly working to undermine the country.

Conspiracy theories are also being spread, suggesting that Ukraine is helping to tighten Poland's borders to resemble the historic Duchy of Warsaw. The ultimate goal of this disinformation campaign, according to the CCD, is to foster hatred towards Ukrainians among Poles, incite interethnic conflicts, and obstruct humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
