Bollywood refused to help Hanuman Ansh initially, are now apologising: 21-yr-old producer

Anupriya Nagar, a 21-year-old co-producer of Vishal Chaturvedi's devotional drama Hanuman Ansh, recounted the film's surprising box-office success and the challenging period when it was on the verge of being pulled from theaters. The film's screen count plummeted from approximately 300 to 30 within its eighth day, leading Anupriya to consider leaving the film industry and returning to Zurich.

Many in Bollywood were hesitant to support the film, fearing they would lose their nominal investment. However, their attitudes have since changed, with several producers apologizing to Anupriya for not initially backing the project. Despite the initial setbacks, Hanuman Ansh's gross domestic box office collection reached Rs 331.70 crore and Rs 280.93 crore net, with a worldwide total of Rs 366.45 crore.
