Alaba joins Okoye at Udinese

Austrian defender David Alaba has arrived in Italy to finalize a move to Udinese, where he will join Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye. Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Alaba completed his medical examinations at Udinese after exploring multiple options in Italy. Romano also reported that Udinese had officially confirmed the transfer.

Udinese had earlier announced that they had reached a verbal agreement with Alaba, describing the defender as an ideal signing for the Italian club. Alaba, who became a free agent after his contract with Real Madrid expired last season, joined the Spanish giants in 2021 following a successful career at Bayern Munich. The 33-year-old, who has Nigerian roots through his father, is expected to bring leadership and experience to Udinese's defense.
