Akar umbi mahu PAS tanding kerusi Wan Saiful, ugut boikot PRU16

PAS Lahar Yooi branch has urged its members to field a candidate in Tasek Gelugor, currently represented by Wan Saiful Wan Jan, the Deputy President of Wawasan. The branch plans to shut down its office and boycott the 2016 general election if the candidate is not from PAS. This decision is based on the strength of PAS's support in Lahar Yooi, a constituency that has never been represented by PAS in the Dewan Negara, except now.

The branch's commitment to this stance is firm, as all parties have previously represented Tasek Gelugor except PAS, and it is now their turn. PAS Lahar Yooi will close its office if a non-PAS candidate contests the Tasek Gelugor seat in the upcoming Parlimen Tasek Gelugor election, and all PAS members and supporters in the branch will boycott the 2016 PRU.

The Tanah Melayu currently represented by Fauzi Yusoff, a PAS Pulau Pinang petitioner, won the Tasek Gelugor seat in PRU15 by a margin of 12,252 votes with the support of Perikatan Nasional, of which Wan Saiful is now a member, part of Wawasan, another component of Perikatan Nasional.
