The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has imposed a temporary closure on the butchery known as Ahl Al Raya Butchery, located in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. This decision followed the discovery of recurrent food safety violations that posed a significant risk to public health. The closure order, issued by ADAFSA, was directed at One Person Company LLC, the registered entity operating the establishment under commercial licence No. CN-2510591.

The authority stated that the shop had repeatedly breached Abu Dhabi Law No. 2 of 2008, which governs food safety regulations. An inspection report revealed that the closure was triggered by the shop's failure to implement the necessary corrective measures after multiple food safety breaches. ADAFSA emphasized that the closure would remain in force until the identified issues were resolved satisfactorily.

Upon re-opening, the business would need to demonstrate full compliance with all food safety requirements before resuming operations. This action is part of ADAFSA's broader strategy to enhance Abu Dhabi's food safety system, which involves routine inspections aimed at proactive consumer protection and ensuring consistent adherence to food safety standards.
