39th Anniversary: Govt alone cannot build Akwa Ibom – Eno begs residents for collaboration

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has called upon residents to collaborate in building the state they envision. In his 39th State Anniversary Broadcast, Eno emphasized that government alone cannot achieve the desired development for Akwa Ibom. He stated that the government can establish the foundation with social amenities and a peaceful environment, but it is up to the people to seize opportunities and create value.

Eno highlighted that the government can build roads, but citizens must establish businesses; it can create schools, but families must prioritize education; government can generate opportunities, but the youth must take advantage of them. He further stated that government can promote peace, and every citizen must protect it. Eno expressed his gratitude to Akwa Ibomites for their resilience and accomplishments over the past 35 years of statehood.

He urged them to continue supporting the government in building the desired future. Eno acknowledged that his accomplishments thus far in implementing the ARISE agenda would not have been possible without the peace and stability in the state. He charged Akwa Ibom residents to maintain peace and unity, emphasizing that political differences should not lead to personal hatred or division.

Eno concluded by urging residents to prioritize the well-being of the state above temporary differences, as the state will endure regardless of political changes.
