2027: Atiku names Presidential Campaign Council [FULL LIST]

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has announced his Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections, according to a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu. Kashim Ibrahim-Imam will serve as the chair of the council, while Nasir El-Rufai will hold the position of Deputy Chairman.

According to the statement, Senator Austin Akobundu will function as the Director-General and Campaign Manager, tasked with converting strategy into coordinated action. The council will consist of six Deputy Directors-General, each leading operational directorates while collaborating with 30 directors who will assume specific responsibilities.

Notably, Dele Momodu has been appointed to head the Media and Communications department, while Dino Melaye will lead the Contact and Mobilisation team. Mohammed Hayatudeen will chair the Policy Team, working alongside Professor Mohammed Sagagi and other members, including Professor Kingsley Moghalu, to formulate practical solutions to the issues faced by Nigerians.

John Oyegun will chair the Campaign Advisory Board. The ADC campaign structure is described as being built for efficiency, with every directorate having a specific duty, each director assigned an assignment, and every appointee accountable for results. The statement emphasizes that the measure of success will be the campaign's effectiveness in addressing the cost of living, unemployment, insecurity, and declining purchasing power, as well as their ability to organize and make Nigeria more affordable.
