1 arrested, 1 sought over body found in TST

Police have apprehended a 28-year-old man and are searching for a female colleague in connection with the death of a 49-year-old man in Tsim Sha Tsui. The incident was reported to the authorities at 1:38am on Thursday by the arrested individual, who alleged that the deceased collapsed on Hanoi Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. However, upon further investigation, police deduced that the man had actually fainted at a nearby bar and was carried away by the suspect and another female staff member. Both suspects and the deceased were employees at the bar, according to police reports.

During the search, law enforcement officials seized approximately 50 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a collection of drug paraphernalia, and around HK$82,000 in cash from the bar. The arrested man faces charges of obstructing the lawful burial of a body, maintaining a weapon, trafficking in a dangerous drug, and failing to provide identification.

He remains in police custody for further investigation as of Thursday afternoon. Authorities are still actively seeking the 30-40 year old female staff member involved in the case.
