Zelenskyy Meets Dutch Prime Minister At UN, Discusses De-Escalation Proposals

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy convened with his Dutch counterpart, Prime Minister Rob Jetten, at the United Nations to deliberate on ongoing dialogues with the United States and fresh proposals aimed at easing tensions, according to UATV English. Zelenskyy affirmed Ukraine's unwavering commitment to peace and expressed readiness to reciprocate any concessions made by Russia, stipulating that Ukraine would refrain from targeting Russia's energy sector and exports in return for a similar pledge from Moscow.

The Ukrainian leader emphasized Ukraine's pursuit of peace above all else and highlighted its readiness to respond proportionately if Russia reciprocates with similar measures. However, he noted that Russia had thus far responded with ballistic missile and attack drone strikes, prompting Ukraine to continue taking all necessary steps to safeguard its citizens.

Zelenskyy also extended gratitude to the Netherlands, particularly Prime Minister Jetten, for their continuous support and assistance, both military, energy, and financial, which he believes bolsters Ukraine's position in the conflict.
