Yet Another Disney+ Price Hike Is Coming — and It's Reportedly Due This Week

Disney is set to raise the price of Disney+ this week, according to a new report. The standalone ad-free subscription will increase by $2.50, or 13%, to $21.49 per month, Bloomberg reported. This price hike brings Disney+ closer to Netflix's ad-free offering, which is priced at $26.99 monthly and includes 4K resolution and access on multiple devices.

Likewise, Hulu without ads will also see an increase by the same amount. The bundled subscription that includes both Disney+ and Hulu will see a $2 price increase, raising it to $21.99, or just 50 cents more than subscribing to each service individually. These price hikes are expected to take effect from today for new subscribers, although existing customers will have to pay the new rates from their subsequent monthly bill.

The news follows Disney's recent alteration of its user agreement for subscribers in Europe, which now confirms that ads will be permitted before and after playback across all subscription tiers. Meanwhile, subscribers in the U.S. have not yet received an updated agreement. Disney+ has undergone several price increases in recent years, with the most recent occurring in October 2025.
