Xiaomi 18 Pro Series Arrives With Specs That Beat All 2026 Phones

Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, two new flagship smartphones set to launch in China. The Xiaomi 18 Pro is the first device to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max utilizes the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Both devices boast larger batteries, advanced camera systems, hardware-level privacy displays, and upgraded screens with new AI capabilities.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro sports a 6.4-inch LTPO AMOLED display, while the 18 Pro Max boasts a larger 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED panel. Both screens offer 2K resolution, variable refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz, and peak brightness levels of up to 4,000 nits. The phones also incorporate Dragon Crystal Glass 3 screens for added durability and a hardware-level privacy display to prevent viewing from an angle.

Xiaomi has expanded the functionality of the rear display by allowing users to create mini apps through the Xiao AI assistant. These mini apps include drinking-water reminders, egg cooking timers, and recipe recommendations. The rear display can also showcase custom AI wallpapers, widgets, access to Xiao AI, and serve as a viewfinder for the rear cameras. Both models come in a variety of colors and feature an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 18 Pro utilizes Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, while the 18 Pro Max sports the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Both devices run Xiaomi HyperOS 4 and are available in various storage configurations, ranging from 12GB/256GB to 16GB/1TB. Pricing for the Xiaomi 18 Pro starts at $895, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max begins at $1,045.
