We are implementing Kenya Kwanza development manifesto, Kindiki assures

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki reiterated the Kenyan government's commitment to fulfilling the promises made in the Kenya Kwanza development manifesto. Speaking during a visit to Maragua Constituency in Murang'a County, Kindiki stated that his administration is diligently working to implement each and every aspect of the manifesto, ensuring that no part of the country is left behind.

Kindiki inspected various development projects throughout Maragua Constituency, including the construction of the Gakoigo Stadium and the tarmacking of a 16-kilometre road connecting Kigoro, Matanya, Mung'etho, Muchagara, and Kiambaa. The deputy president emphasized that the stadium, which cost 900 million shillings to construct, and the road project, which is being financed with funds already allocated, are among 32 other projects currently in various stages of completion across the nation.

Among the other initiatives being financed by the government are Mumbi Stadium in Kiharu Constituency, 27 modern markets, affordable housing projects, electricity expansion initiatives, and the tarmacking of hundreds of kilometres of roads. Kindiki challenged contractors to ensure the completion of these projects within a year, stating that he will consult with relevant ministries to expedite their completion.

The deputy president also addressed the importance of regional unity within Mt. Kenya, dismissing attempts to divide the region. He stressed that "Mt Kenya is one" and urged residents not to fall prey to politicians attempting to incite violence based on political affiliations. Kindiki encouraged the community to remain united, supporting the President Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza development manifesto.
