Tyrese Maxey Doesn’t Hold Back on Personal Relationship With LeBron James

Tyrese Maxey, an agent for LeBron James, recently spoke candidly about his relationship with the four-time NBA MVP. During an exclusive interview with ClutchPoints reporter Tomer Azarly, Maxey revealed that he and James often work out together in the morning, describing James as a big brother figure to him. Maxey explained, "He’s like an OG to me, and for us to be teammates, it was funny because a kid asked me the other day, he looked at me and said, ‘are you and LeBron friends?’

I thought about it. I leaned back and I said, ‘you know, I guess we are friends. He’s the old, old, old guy, but he’s like one of my old friends.’”

Maxey also commented on the free agency decision that led to James joining the Philadelphia 76ers. When asked if he knew about James' choice before it was publicly announced, Maxey was tight-lipped, saying, "I’m not going to say I knew and just didn’t tell anyone, but I had multiple conversations with LeBron." James signed a two-year, $7.9 million deal with the 76ers, joining a formidable starting lineup that includes Jaylen Brown and Joel Embiid.

Many consider the Sixers to be the most championship-ready team among the NBA's Eastern Conference contenders.
