This New Pakistani 200cc Rickshaw Comes With a Reverse Camera and Digital Dashboard

Laldin Motors has introduced the KP1 200cc auto-rickshaw at the Pakistan Auto Show, presenting a modernized version of the traditional Pakistani three-wheeler. Collaborating with Chinese engineering partners, the KP1 is built using a locally manufactured body combined with advanced features. The vehicle's design is inspired by international tuk-tuk models, and its chassis and body are crafted through modern assembly methods.

An electro-deposition (ED) coating is applied to the vehicle's exterior and chassis for superior rust protection and durability over conventional spray painting. The KP1 boasts LED headlights, parking lights, and taillights, while its sheet-metal bodyset apart from plastic body panels typically found in lightweight three-wheelers.

In terms of safety, the KP1 utilizes an independent rear suspension system equipped with coilover shocks, sway bar, and drive shafts, offering a smoother ride compared to standard rickshaw suspensions. Additionally, the rickshaw features disc brakes on all three wheels, a combined braking system, and a reverse camera mounted on the lower rear bumper to enhance rear visibility during parking or reversing.

The vehicle's cabin offers improved comfort with deeper cushioning, reclined backrests for passengers, and a wider bench seat for the driver, reducing fatigue during extended shifts. Equipped with a digital instrument cluster, USB multimedia connectivity, mobile charging ports, an automatic windshield wiper, and a manual fan override switch, the KP1 is an upgrade from traditional Pakistani rickshaws, boasting a claimed structural life of eight to ten years without rusting.

Priced between Rs. 650,000 to Rs. 700,000, Laldin Motors has set production ready and is currently accepting bookings.
